Ready To RIDE!

Who is LCMTB?

Lumpkin County Mountain Bike Team is an official league of the Georgia Cycling Association (GCA). The primary goal of our program is youth development through cycling on Georgia’s trails and terrain. Our team consists of 6th-12th grade riders who live in Lumpkin County.

“We’re a bunch of kids who love mountain bike riding and racing. Our team consists of boys and girls who attend public, private, and home schools and live in Dahlonega, Georgia”

OUR MISSION?

Getting more kids on bikes! We focus on mountain biking because it gives kids an opportunity to get outside, get exercise, and explore nature within our local landscape and trail systems. We hope to allow kids to grow and excel in recreation and teach them the essential physical skill of riding a bike safely and with confidence. We coach kids to ride MTB in a team environment that facilitates camaraderie, sportsmanship, and dedication. We help our riders set personal goals to build strong minds, bodies, and characters in the process. Our aim is to produce lifelong riders with love for the ride!

WHO CAN JOIN AND RIDE WITH THE TEAM?

We welcome all riders! All teams are co-ed and with all skill levels practicing and racing. Local middle to high schoolers, 6-12th grade, can join. The race team competes in the race series hosted by the Georgia Cycling Association each fall. Training begins in spring and concludes with a fall racing season. We ask our riders to commit to an entire ride season, dedicating to 3 practices per week.
